Jammu, Apr 19 (KNO) : Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former MLC Haji Nizam-d-din Khatana on Thursday hailed the people of Jammu and expressed his gratitude to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for standing up to demand justice and fair play for a minor Bakerwal Girl. Khatana in a statement said that the courage and earnest efforts of the people of the state are worth to hail as they stood up firmly, demanding stern punishment to the culprits who committed the heinous crime that shammed the humanity.

Khatana appreciated all the organisations and intelligentsia of Jammu province who have condemned the gruesome and inhuman act irrespective of faith, caste and creed and extending support, sympathy and solidarity towards the family of the victim.

The PDP leader on behalf of the ST community extended gratitude to the President of India, the Prime Minister and especially the Hon’’ble Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who ensured proper and lawful investigation through Crime Branch of J&K Police. He hoped that justice and truth will prevail at an earliest.
